urinary tract infection?

Posted by: admin  :  Category: urinary tract infection symptoms

My mom was told by a doctor she has urinary tract infection and gave her medication about 3 days ago.She has been doing what she was told to do and she still has a lot of pain.We are going again to the clinic.

The problem is my mom went to a clinic and they took a blood and urine sample and they said both are clean and perfect!
Later she went to the hospital and they told her she has urinary tract infection.Im having doubts now.

She has no urinary tract infection symptoms.

What other illness could it be?

She has problems standing up,any fast movement will hurt. She said she has pain in her lower back and it continues all the way to her lower stomach. What could it be!
Im not sure about her appendix.I had mine cut off.I have never thought of that!

She could have BV, a kidney infection, needs to stop drinking soda, or has a vitamin deficiency

i know this might sound cliche, but goto walmart and get some PURE cranberry juice (undiluted and unsweeted) and then bring it home to her and put it in a container and dilute it with sugar (or sweetener) and water. this will relieve much of her pain until she is properly treated.

also if it was the appendix then doctors wouldve been able to tell, plus your mom would be in alot worse of a state.

Has she ever had her appendix checked. I had pain in that area years ago and come to find out it was my appendix ready to rupture. I would get a second opinion. One other thing. In many people they check the white count for infection and some people ( I am one) the white count does not go up. You can bring her back and ask them to check the sed rate. This will tell you if there is an infection no matter what. Good luck.

In some cases you can have problems with your appendix without the doctor knowing. I only had pain and when they went in for surgery they did find my appendix were about to rupture. I would get the second opinion.

You might wanna have her get some cultures done from her urinary tract, and urethra to make sure the infection isn't anything else more serious that just a UTI.. it could possibly be her appendix, but it shouldn't be painful to urinate.. if her tongue turns black this will mean that her appendix has ruptured, and you need to her get to the ER ASAP! It could also be Kidney Stones, Pelvic Pain Syndrome or Inflammation, a Bladder infection which is slightly different than a UTI, definitely have her get a second opinion, or go to a OB/GYN who specializes in these kinds of things.. Good luck!
