What foods naturally cure a Urinary Tract Infection?

Posted by: admin  :  Category: urinary tract infection cure

I have read that there are foods you can consume to raise your acid level in your urine that would eliminate the infection, does anyone know what they are?

Cranberry juice has a unique property that stops infection from sticking to the walls of your urinary tract but drinking lots and lots of it can have bad effects as well as it is too acidic. Some people on certain medication have to be careful with cranberry juice as well. My granddad was told by a doctor that he could not drink it as he was on warfarin. If you’ve been diagnosed with a urinary tract infection then your doc should prescribe you antibiotics. Drinking a barley water drink such as robinsons fruit and barley can also help with the sting when passing water, and making sure you drink plenty of water will help flush it out.

This is only true if the infection is not acute though, if it’s a small thing, then
    Cranberries
    foods high in vitamin C
    and taking vitamins
    exercise is good

None will cure an infection. They can help prevent an infection from forming in the first place, but once you have a urinary tract infection you need medication from your pharmacy and if that fails you need antibiotics.

I’ve always been told that cranberry juice will help. If I think I may be getting a UTI I will drink a glass and I never seem to get one when I do that but I may not have been getting one to begin with. I’m not sure exactly, but I’ve heard it kinda just helps "flush" out everything… it will make you go #1 more than normal if you drink alot. If your having really bad pain/symptoms you still need to go to the doctor because you may need antibotics anyways. Even if your on antibotics or other meds from your doc the cranberry juice is supposed to help get rid of it faster.
Also try to stay away from sodas and taking baths if you get frequent UTI’s.

They are not strong enough to cure it, but they can help prevent recurring infections. The only food is cranberries and cranberry juice. If you have an infection you should treat it ASAP with doctor prescribed antibiotics because the infection can spread to the kidneys and bladder and that is so so painful and dangerous.

The term UTI includes bladder irritation, as well as infection caused by various microorganisms.

Bladder infection conditions occur more often in women, due to anatomical differences. In middle-aged men, however, a swollen prostate is the typical cause for urinary retention and infection. Underlying causes include nutritional deficiencies and immune susceptibility, as well as the more obvious irritations from intercourse, tight clothing, spices, coffee, tea, medicines, alcohol or high sugar in the urine. Food allergies may be a significant factor, especially in children.

Herbs for the urinary tract infection generally have diuretic effects, to flush out infection and inflammation by-products. Many are also antimicrobial, either destroying microorganisms or stimulating the body to do so. Along with quelling inflammation, other plants help heal irritated mucus membrane linings of the bladder, urethra and ureter, and the kidney tubules.

In most cases, simple bladder infection can be easily and effectively dealt with using the herbs below. In cases where antibiotic resistant bacteria are involved, or where no bacteria are detected, as in interstitial cystitis, herbs become even more important and uniquely effective.

Poor urinary tract health will often result in Cystitis, an inflammation or infection of the bladder which can become a serious health problem if the infection spreads to the kidneys. Symptoms of poor urinary tract health include an itching sensation in the urethra, a strong and persisten urge to urinate and passing frequent, small amouints of urine. You may also notice lower back or abdominal pain. Drink lots of water to help flush out any bacteria and avoid all fruit juices, fizzy drinks, strong tea or coffee and alcohol.
