Are there any natural remedies out there to treat UTI’s and stop them from coming back?

I have had great success with cranberry- BUT YOU HAVE to catch it before it gets bad. At the first inkling you should Drink cranberry juice, take the capsules of cranberry extract, drink lots of water too. Watch what you are doing prior to getting a UTI… you may have gotten dehydrated, may have waited too long to go to the restroom. Cranberry makes the lining of the urinary tract slippery so that bacteria can’t adhere to the walls and cause an infection. Make sure that your privates are very clean before sex, the vagina is very near the urethra and bacteria can get pushed up. Go to the water closet after sex too! Try to alkalize your body with a diet of mainly vegetables and little meat, sugar, dairy and things that turn to acid in the system AND of course use Therapeutic quality essential oils regularly. If you already have a bad one- you may need that Dr. to get you through this one… THEN pay attention!

If you use condoms you do not have to wait at all. The danger lies in passing the infection to your husband who will later reinfect you. Even though this is rare (not impossible) with the yeast infection it is quite common with the UTIs.

Your antibiotics should start making a noticeable difference in 3-4 days. Depending on what you are taking, it may also be smart to lay off all the dairy products. Antibiotics kill a lot of the good bacteria in your gut, making it impossible to digest dairy products of any kind. That can give you diarrhea and gas, and that will really irritate everyone in the region. If you have been eating much dairy, that may also be some of the problem now. The end of the small intestine is right below your belly button, and then the large intestine starts. Gas in the system will make you feel crampy as well. In that case, the masssage will move things along to the exit as well, and also help. Sorry dear, it’s just a miserable situation.

I had uti symptoms – burning sensation during urination then urge to urinate for a while after even tho i just had gone, my pee seems a lil cloudy sometimes.. but I went to the physician today and did a urine test and they stated i had no uti… so im going back tomorrow morning.
but I am antsy about it…
what could this be if it is not a urinatry tract infection? any ideas? I’ve had symptoms for like a week maybe a lil more.

I was tested for infections and they found nothing. they prescribed me uti antibiotics. and the symptoms are so much superior. Dr. is growing a culture- follow up apntment soon

I’ve had a uti for maybe five days now, and I’ve been drinking lots of water for the past few days.

I didn’t begin drinking cranberry juice until today.

I have had a urinary tract infection for nearly a week (have not had time to go to the doctor yet, as I’m in college and it’s finals week) and yesterday I began getting very bad stomach cramps and lower back pain. My period isn’t due, so I know it’s not that. Does anyone know if the UTIs could cause those symptoms?

I absolutely hate the taste of Cranberry Juice, and I have the ability to only drink water, and juice….
so I need to know what kind of juice is okay for me to drink while having a UTIs?

Cranberry Juice is horrible I know, but it’s the only juice that’s good for a UTIs. You can take the Cranberry pills in the vitamin isle at any pharmacy and drink lots of water and that should help.

If you have uti and you want to get rid of it naturally how much water and cranberry juice would you have to drink a day? Plus what soaps are best to use so that your skin does not get irritated? Please NO silly answers. THANX!

Typically cranberry juice and water are to Prevent UTI from reoccuring. You need an antibiotic to get rid of it, then follow up with more cranberry juice and water. There’s no set amount to drink, if they keep coming back, increase your intake.

As for soap, I think Dove soap is really gentle on the skin but anything without perfumes should work for you.

Will getting a urinary tract infection in a month cause your period to be irregular or mess with the chances of being able to conceive that month?

No antibiotics were used, just a lot of water, cranberry juice, and cranberry pills.

I don’t think so. I also got pregnant in the middle of recurring UTI’s. To think that I was taking antibiotic pills that time. Don’t worry about it. You can still get pregnant. Just do your water therapy and cranberry juice. It really cures UTI’s.

I just got a uti yesterday i think from having my period.. herpes outbreak.. and yeast infection all at the same time =/ its extreamly painful and i need relief asap soo any ideas? I cant afford to go to the physician.. is it absolutly necessary for me to take antibiotics? What else could i do instead? thanks!
No it is not completely neccessary for you to take antibiotics, it is neccessary for you to get rid of it though. You could clear it up using a product like cleartract, it always works for me no matter how bad the infection was.
