How long before symptoms of urinary tract infection subside after sarting Cipro ?
It should be much better within 24 hours, if it isn’t you need a recheck. UTI’s respond very quickly to antibiotics.

I thought I had a fever, so I took Tylenol. I didn’t get better after a day, so I started taking Vicks’ DayQuil. After I searched online, my symptons appear to be urinary tract infection. Can’t see my doctor until tomorrow. Should I stop taking the Vicks’ cold medicine? Thanks.
It shouldn’t matter.
I had urinary tract infection symptoms – burning sensation during urination then urge to urinate for a while after even tho i just had gone, my pee seems a lil cloudy sometimes.. but I went to the doctor today and did a urine test and they said i had no uti… so im going back tomorrow morning.

try some natural remedies for UTI and check symptoms – see below
I am peeing quite often, even if it is not a lot. I have the urge to go, and little comes out. It is painful, I’ve seen a couple of blood spots… but not too many. Any help?
Yeah, you have a UTI. It’s caused by bacteria getting into your urethra, and causing an infection. There are two ways to get rid of this- see your doctor and he’ll give your antibiotics, or you can cure it at home. For at home, you’ll need to drink a ton of water, and get some cranberry pills. YOu don’t want the juice, as there is a ton of sugar in it, and the pills are more concentrated and work faster. Take three pills a day for the next 3-5 days, and you should be fine. Either way, you need to get it fixed.
What are these symptoms?, and if they are not alike what are the differences?
Yeast infections can leave traces in the urine, as yeast will also populate the outside of the vagina and be flushed off by urine. The stick that shows whether or not you have a UTI measures the pH of your urine (the acidity), and as a UTI gives off an acidic reading (negative on the pH scale), yeast gives off a basic reading (positive on the pH scale), which throws it off.
Bladder infections are just that- Infections of the bladder. Urinary tract infections (UTIs) are infections of the entire tract, the bladder, the urethra (the tube through which the urine flows) and sometimes the ureters (tubes connecting the kidneys to the bladder) and the kidneys as well. UTIs will cause the feeling of having to urinate frequently, as well as (sometimes) burning, stinging, or itching during urination, and a strong odor from the urine.
My mom was told by a doctor she has urinary tract infection and gave her medication about 3 days ago.She has been doing what she was told to do and she still has a lot of pain.We are going again to the clinic.
The problem is my mom went to a clinic and they took a blood and urine sample and they said both are clean and perfect!
Later she went to the hospital and they told her she has urinary tract infection.Im having doubts now.
She has no urinary tract infection symptoms.
What other illness could it be?
She has problems standing up,any fast movement will hurt. She said she has pain in her lower back and it continues all the way to her lower stomach. What could it be!
Im not sure about her appendix.I had mine cut off.I have never thought of that!
She could have BV, a kidney infection, needs to stop drinking soda, or has a vitamin deficiency
i know this might sound cliche, but goto walmart and get some PURE cranberry juice (undiluted and unsweeted) and then bring it home to her and put it in a container and dilute it with sugar (or sweetener) and water. this will relieve much of her pain until she is properly treated.
also if it was the appendix then doctors wouldve been able to tell, plus your mom would be in alot worse of a state.

Hi
Urinary tract infection (UTI) can present in various ways. I am enumerating a few symptoms. However a person may suffer from one or more of these symptoms at a given time. Burning before, during or after passing urine, pain while passing urine, frequent urination, urgency to pass urine but unable to pass more than a few drops, dribbling of urine, blood in urine, lower abdominal pain, low back ache, fever, chills, and rigor are a few symptoms patients present with.
A urine examination followed by a culture and sensitivity test will be helpful. This will tell you what organism is causing the infection and what antibiotic will kill it permanently.
Hope this helps. All the best!
About a month ago, I went to the doctor with the symptoms of a urinary tract infection. He put some test strip in a urine sample, saw there was bacteria in the urine, and prescribed antibiotics for a UTI. That medication was Sulfer-based and turns out I'm allergic to it. So I went back to the docs and got a different prescription. A week later, I still didn't feel any relief, so I went back again, and was prescribed Macrobid, being told this should do the trick. I then got my period a few days later, and the UTI symptoms disappeared until yesterday, a day after my period ended. Now today and yesterday I have had the UTI symptoms again…I'm so sick of it, and am wondering why it's not going away. Could it be something else? Any idea what it may be? Any thoughts or ideas are appreciated. Thanks in advance.
Just as an added note, I have finished all medication prescribed to me (apart from the first ones that I am allergic to). But I have finished two courses of antibiotics, and have drank so much cranberry juice in the past month I swear I'm turning into a cranberry.
Go back to your doctor. Tell him what happen.
Maybe the antibiotic he prescribed are not doing any good on you. And besides UTI symptoms will not easily gone unless you finished the entire days left to take your medicine. Sometimes if your infection are high the treatment can last for 2 weeks and go to the doctor and perform again a urine test for assurance.
It's not easy to had an UTI but if you follow everything your doctor told you eventually you'll be alright.
I have been feeling really dizzy each time I get up from sitting for more than 30 sec. hurts to urinate, pain in bladder and abdomen, urinating more often, and mild nausea. I have antibiotics from about two weeks ago when I did have a urinary tract infection. There the same symptoms I had last time. I'm still sick from what the doctor thinks is acid reflex disease, it's not going away! ![]()
the medicine had more than a one week dose. Do you think I should ask the doctor … I'm going on vacation so I can go to the doctor in a week.
You also have urinary symptoms. You may be having GI problem as well, but certainly the antibiotics you have taken for UTI have not been effective. Get urine tested again to make sure.
Good luck!
