Yes, there is something new out now. Actually it has been around longer but you could only get it if you were a patient of the physician that discovered it until recently when Suzanne Somers interviews the doctor and published it in her new book, now you can buy it online and in some stores. It basically works alot like d-mannose except it is 10 times stronger, so it can prevent and cure a UTI, it is so strong you can cure a UTI in just a couple of days, which is better than d-mannose. Anyway, the it is called cleartract and you can just google it or find it on amazon.

I had an yeast infection and uti at the time. Want to the Physician and got medication for both and everything seems find now. And my husband can’t wait anymore.

If you use condoms you do not have to wait at all. The danger lies in passing the infection to your husband who will later reinfect you. Even though this is rare (not impossible) with the yeast infection it is quite common with the UTIs.
It is actually quite important that he be checked for the infection and treated if necessary before resuming unprotected sex with him. Most of what the other people answering your question is correct in that you need to make sure that the infection is gone before resuming unprotected sex.
Candida albicans, the same type of yeast that causes vaginal yeast infections can cause a condition called jock itch in males and sometimes females. In this way it can be passed back and forth between partners. Jock itch is external and can be eliminated with Selsun, Monistat or Clotrimazole. Candida albicans can also invade the male urinary tract and cause a condition called male yeast infection which causes itching at the tip of the penis.

my bladder and uterus are aching really bad, i cant sleep. what would help with the sleeping during a uti?> i have been awake for days and am completely tired from fighting this. am on antibiotics.

The bacteria causes the tissues to become inflammed. There is a lot of “stuff” in your pelvic region, and when one thing gets irritable it tends to share the irritation with everyone. Kind of like having one grump in the crowd being a downer for everyone else. Sometimes you can calm them down by massaging the lower belly, or lying on your side with your knees curled up and hugging a firm pillow. Sometimes a heating pad will help, front or back as you find most comfy. You can also help shift the infection along faster if you will drink until your molars threaten to float out of your mouth. The more diluted you keep the urine, the less irritating it is to the bladder. Then it doesn’t spasm and set everything else off. Your antibiotics should start making a noticeable difference in 3-4 days. Depending on what you are taking, it may also be smart to lay off all the dairy products. Antibiotics kill a lot of the good bacteria in your gut, making it impossible to digest dairy products of any kind. That can give you diarrhea and gas, and that will really irritate everyone in the region. If you have been eating much dairy, that may also be some of the problem now. The end of the small intestine is right below your belly button, and then the large intestine starts. Gas in the system will make you feel crampy as well. In that case, the masssage will move things along to the exit as well, and also help. Sorry dear, it’s just a miserable situation.

Cleartract Juice is horrible I know, but it’s the only juice that’s good for a UTIs. You can take the Cleartract pills in the vitamin isle at any pharmacy and drink lots of water and that should help.
I hope that you’re feeling better.

Typically cranberry juice and water are to Prevent UTI from reoccuring. You need an antibiotic to get rid of it, then follow up with more cranberry juice and water. There’s no set amount to drink, if they keep coming back, increase your intake.

As for soap, I think Dove soap is really gentle on the skin but anything without perfumes should work for you.

Good luck!

hi there, has your doctor concidered the possibility of kidney stones. Its a very simple diagnostic and i think what you are experiencing is renal or uteric colic pains ( which are the pains to your back) as the kidney stones are passing through to your bladder.
It might be a possibility!
Ask yourself this
Did your back hurt when you went to the physicians? did you tell him this if so?
Are you feeling or being sick?
Is your urine bloody or cloudy?
Do you get a frequent erge to urinate?
