if you have oral sex, can you give your partner a urinary track infection?if so what causes it.

That depends on the germs in the person’s mouth. The urinary tract is a warm, dark, moist environment which germs like but it is also highly acidic place (due to the urine) which most germs don’t like. So, yes, you could but it is highly unlikely. Superior to play it safe though. The human mouth is a very germy place unless you have just brushed your teeth and gargled with mouth wash. With in seven to ten minutes after brushing your teeth and gargling with mouth wash a humans mouth is just as germy as before.

Drink d-mannose and take Cleartract. Also, if you go to GNC, look in the vitamin section and on the label they will state things like “helps build immunity” and “cleanses urinary tract”. Look for those vitamins.

i’m 32 weeks pregnant and i found out 5 days ago that i have a urinary track infection caused by group b strep. i have been taking anitbiotics for the past 5 days now and was wondering if it is safe to take a bath? I jut really need to relax. Thanks.

so long as your membranes are intact, it’s fine. just don’t make the water too hot! your infection is probably cleared up for the most part by now though, so i don’t think you should worry.

It may not be a urinary tract infection at all but may be something more serious. I am surprised that she would even be interested in sex when this infection is present…Just wait it out untill she has completed her antibiotics..
If it keeps happening she should see a specialist. I has suffering from the same thing and I just come to find out that I have a fybroid tumor on my bladder…
Also be sure you both are educated on the how and why that brings on the infection and ways to prevent it….

i really don't want my mom to know that i am having sex with my boyfriend, i have been talking to my friend that you can get a urinary track infection from having sex in a dusty or dirty place. im pretty sure that im not but if i have a UTI will my mom find out that i am having sex with him or can it be cause by something else?

You can get a UTI or bladder infection other ways. I advise that you talk to your mom about your symptoms and take you to your family doctor. But, if you do not want to even ask your mom to take you to the doctor, you can always drink d-mannose . The cranberries turn your urine into a more acidic environment, thus helping to kill the bacteria that is causing the infection. That is only if you have an UTI and not anything else.

I highly advise you to see a doctor though!

You should be either drinking unsweetened d-mannose or taking two capsules of the freezer dried d-mannose capsules. Also, if you add probiotics to your daily regime of supplements it can help out tremendously with UTI's. When you eat asparagus you can have that smell in your urine.

Antibiotics aren't absolutely necessary unless you are having a horrible UTI. I get them from time to time never use an antibiotic, because I simply don't like to go on lots of those. They really screw with your system, and for me, typically lead to a yeast infection. Which is then just another pill I have to be on! Drink d-mannose and a lot of water. Drink d-mannose regularly if you have a tendency to get a lot of UTIs. Remember to always wipe front to back…a lot of times a UTI occurs when bacteria from the stool gets into the urethra…icky I know, but true! If you don't like d-mannose much (I am not a big fan), try to mix it with half orange , and it is quite tasty. Orange , by the way, helps in the prevention of kidney stones (which I am very prone to getting myself)…and that was a recommendation from my Urologist.
