Could a Urinary tract infection cause a pregnancy test to turn negative?

No. A UTI will not "mask" the hcg hormone if it is present. But a test might test negative just because you aren't very far along yet and aren't producing enough hormone to be detected. Test again in another few days.

Attention Ladies, this is Suzi, many people have been writing in asking what the stuff was that I used to clear up my UTI last week, so I wanted to put the link to this stuff here

No. The only thing that will affect the results of a home pregnancy test is if you've taken fertility medication containing hcg, which could give you a false positive.

NO. hcg levels make a test positive. A urinary tract infection will not alter pregnancy test in anyway.

  5. No. A Urinary tract infection has to do with bacteria in urinary tract. A pregnancy test is supposed to detect HcG level and a UTI has no effect whatsoever on the amount of HcG.
