water and cramberries would not get rid of it. you need to see your doctor so he could prescribe you some anti-biatics

Typically cranberry juice and water are to Prevent UTIs from reoccuring. You need an antibiotic to get rid of it, then follow up with more cranberry juice and water. There’s no set amount to drink, if they keep coming back, increase your intake.

As for soap, I think Dove soap is really gentle on the skin but anything without perfumes should work for you.

    Good luck!

Unfortunately, all that cranberry juice and water do is eleviate some of the PAIN (spasms, etc.) associated with a UTI. The only way to actually get rid of the infection is to go to your doctor and get an antibiotic. Once the infection has cleared up, you CAN drink cranberry juice and water to help PREVENT an infection! :)

You should drink 8 full glasses of water and a glass or 2 of cranberry juice and 2 Echinacea pills (they ward off infections) daily.

Yes, cranberry juice and water can assist you in preventing UTI’s if you are prone to them, but just drinking enough water can be useful if you are looking for prevention. If you are susceptible to UTI’s and you feel burning when you urinate, begin just drinking cranberry juice immediately and don’t worry about diluting – just drink 4-6 glasses of cranberry juice plus 8 glasses of water. Now if the burning sensations doesn’t go away and increases, the bacteria may have already set up an infection and you need to seek medical treatment. If you don’t get treatment for our UTI it could become serious. Soaps that help concerning irritation – well there are numerous brands but the best are neutrogena sensitive skin and there are other lines for sensitive skin that can be purchased on drugstore.com – but each person is different so choosing soaps without heavy perfumes would be a good place to start.

There is a product you can get at your local pharmacy, that will help with UTI symptoms, but I agree that you do need to see a doctor if your symptoms dont go away. The product is called AZO. Here in Texas it cost only $5-6 bucks. Dont play around if it doesnt get better, go to a doctor.
