No, the UTI has nothing to do with the hcg.
She needs to wait a week or so before testing again.

Yes, as the person above me said, she needs to wait a week, or even until the UTI is completely gone, even though it shouldn’t affect it…

No, the UTI does not mess with the results, the UTI however can cause her to miss her period, or for her period to be late.
HCG is the pregnancy hormone, only made when you’re pregnant.

Having a UTI will not effect the outcome of a pregnancy test, but could be the reason your friend has not had her period yet. Have her wait a week after finishing the antibiotics if still no period and pregnancy test is still negative she should give her dr a call, as there might be a different underlying issue.
