Would it be a urinary track infection or kidney infection if your urine has a strong smell of ammonia?

When you eat asparagus you can have that smell in your urine.

I have included a reference to an article in The British Journal of Clinical Pharmacology below …

Can be, and especially if you are urinating more frequently or are having back/abdominal pain along with the strong smell. Go to the doctor, they will do a urine test and give you antibiotics if you have an infection. It's important to finish all the antibiotics even after you are feeling better to make sure all the bacteria are killed out. P.S.–it's urinary tract infection =o)

Are you bleeding? Does it hurt to pee? Does your lowe back (sides where your kidneys are) hurt? If any are yes, it could be. Drink lots of water and go to the doctor!
