Try this site for some solutions to help with drinks to try and what to avoid, also lists possible causes. There are many over the counter solutions but there is probably something to help sitting in your food cupboard. Cranberry is a favourite of mine but as it can be sour I buy the raspberry with cranberry. Home made barley water is good.

Not sure that there is much more to do except the water and cranberry juice. There are also those Cleartract pills that other people have told me help. I'm super prone to UTIs and I finally just started drinking a small glass of cranberry juice every day and haven't had a problem for over a year now.

Water to help wash out your system and cranberry juice to acidify are the only home remedies that may help. Many UTI are not cureable with home remedies.

Wash yourself from front to back using anti-bacterial soap, and make sure you get all of the soap off of your skin when you're done. Stay dry, and drink acidic drinks and water. It may clear up on it's own. If it is not gone in a week or so, a doctor will give you a tablet to speed the healing process, but not necessarily anti-biotics. It will probably heal on it's own. Be smart.:)
