Spermicide causing urinary tract infection?

Posted by: admin  :  Category: urinary tract infection cause

How much is the chance that a spermicide condom can cause urinary tract infection?

I am not sure if it will cause an infection but I think its possible.

I have used a spermicidal condom before and my body doesnt agree with it.

but i believe it is possible. ask a doctor.

I don't know for sure, but it may. I used to use condoms with spermicide and I was always getting yeast infections. As soon as I stopped using those condoms with spermicide, I didn't get yeast infections.

I don't think spermicide is good for a woman's body.

it's not so much the condom as it is the liquids
urinary tract infections are caused by bacteria which may come from urine, feces, or others bodily fluids that come in contact with your urethra (where you urinate from) which may have inflamed the urethra and caused the infection. make sure you see a doctor for antibiotics as soon as possible! otherwise it will get to your kidneys and damage them!

It is a possibility. Make sure you urinate after intercourse to remove any debris or spermicide away from the urethra.

Sex in general is what can cause a urinary tract infection. Its recommended that a woman pee before and after sex to avoid one. Even then, you can still get out. Also, holding your pee in for a long time can cause one. Bacteria gathers on the end of your urethra, and if you do not urinate frequently, it can cause it to grow rapidly and by the time you do pee, its too late and its grown into an infection.

I can't use anything with spermicide because it burns me and hurts so much. Since it is a chemical, it is very likely that it got in your urinary tract and irritated it and made you vunerable to an infection. Hope you feel better.
