Attention Ladies, this is Suzi, many people have been writing in asking what the stuff was that I used to clear up my UTI last week, so I wanted to put the link to this stuff here
It is called CT - DM
Go visit a doctor. You usually get it when you use public comfort rooms.

you should see your doctor after trying home remedies first, have you been drinking a lot of fluids to try flush it out? lemon barley water and d-mannose are 2 of the best for this, if it does persist though you may need antibiotics from doctor.

You need to see a doctor. If the pain is where you say it is, then your kidney is involved and it could get serious.
Re your question about where we get them from. It can just be an overgrowth of normal bacteria. It can be bad toileting habits. In a woman it can be caused by having sex a lot, the action pushes bacteria back up into the urethra.
