31.4 weeks pregnant… what are signs/symptoms of a urinary tract infection? And if I have one what are the?

risks to my unborn baby?
I should have added it does NOT burn when I pee
My urine was ORANGE today when I peed, then when I went again it was DARK yellow and then the 3rd time I went it was yellow, but cloudy….

Every time I have had a urinary infection it has been painful to urinate. Sometimes you can feel icky, like you have the flu or you may be running a tempature.

When I got near the end of my pregnancy with my daughter I could have sworn that I had a UTI, every time I urinated it hurt a lot. I got my urine tested a couple times at the doctor's and it came back negative for an infection both times. I think it was just her head was right on my bladder and when I urinated it pinched my bladder or something.

My advice would be to call and ask your doctor or midwife, they are there to answer your questions! Hope this helps.

any untreated infection in that area can cause premature rupture of the membranes, and/or premature labor to begin. it should always be treated promptly!. symptoms would be feeling like you have to pee all the time, burning/stinging while urinating. and sometimes stomach ache or nausea.

Signs: burning during urination, difficulty urinating, feeling the urge to urinate when you don't really have to, blood in urine.

The risk to your baby is not going to the doctor and letting the infection take over. Get to the doc ASAP, she will prescribe a pregnancy-safe antibiotic.

burning and having to urinate all the time… sometimes lower stomache cramps for me anyway. Sometimes I get a UTI and don't really realize it the only symptom I have is the cloudy urine. Oh and if you do take an antibiotic… make sure to eat yogart with it till it is gone because you may get a really bad yeast infection. The anitbiotic kills all that "good" bacteria down there. Learned that lesson the hard way.

UTI's can cause preterm labor due to contractions from the infection.

Painful urination, blood in urine are two symptoms but some woman never have symptoms. If you think you have a UTI you should talk to your OBGYN. He/She will probably prescribe Macrobid.

The signs are usually that it is painful and burning sensation when you urinate also frequency which is a bit difficult since your probably frquent with the pregnancy. You should however see your doctor because it is an infection and any infection has potential to be harmful to your baby. Also when i was 28 weeks pregnant i thought i had a urinary tract infection and was going to blow it off, but my husband made me go to the doctors and i was actually in labour and 3cm dialated. So you can never be to careful, if it is uti you will probably get a safe antibiotic and that will be all.
    Hope i helped

Go to your doctor. They will most likely take a urine culture to make sure there is an infection. They will place you on antibiotics most likely for 14 days to make sure the infection clears up the way it's supposed to. I just had an infection and finished the antibiotics. I was on ampicillin, four times a day at 250 milligrams for 7 days. They will give you something that will not harm the baby as this is most important in pregnancy.

Cloudiness is a sure sign that you have an infection in the urinary tract. The darker color of your urine means you are not drinking enough fluids. It's very very important to keep yourself hydrated and you should have at least 4 times of the day where the urine is almost clear if not clear. I've had recurring kidney and bladder infections for the better part of my life. The biggest risk to the baby is not getting it treated. It can spread to your kidneys and cause some really serious problems there. You can get a fever if it goes untreated which can cause you to go into preterm labor. Of all the infections I've had, I have NEVER had burning while I went. Sometimes if it was bad enough I would get an uncomfortable feeling, almost like a pinching, but no burning.

I won't talk about the signs/symptoms of uti… they've been covered quite well by the other respondents. You may have to go on antibiotics to clear it up, if you have it. Also, you'll be advised to drink loooooots of water and flush the infection out of the system. Barley water is also good for UTI. Use barley powder or barley seeds, boiled in water. Drink the water.
