  there are many STD’s and some can mimic UTI’s, some have no symptoms at all. I would not care about what he thought, it is up to you and you alone to protect your health, do not put that responsibility into someone else’s hands, especially if that person is not true to you. There is NO test for HPV in men, so I hope that you are having yearly pap smears. I would suggest seeing a GYN, have some STD test done, gonorrhea and chlamydia as well as HPV can be done off a pap smear, VDRL and hepatitis can be done with blood work
