Drink water constantly. Drink cranberry juice as well, or take a cranberry supplement. When I say constantly, though, I mean you should be holding a glass of something every minute of the day. I've heard that echinacea and goldenseal root both help, but I'm not so sure about that... Urinate often, and do so immediately when you feel you need to. Leaving it sit in the bladder will just permit bacterial build-up. If you aren't feeling better within a day or two, go to the doctors. In fact, if you get these often, go to a urologist instead. If you're getting them from sex, urinate before and after (if you can); if that still doesn't work, you can get a large dose antibiotic prescribed to take every time you have sex.

Hey, I know how you feel. I'm the same way. When I got a urinary tract infection at the beginning of my marriage, everyone said cranberry juice or cranberry tablets was the best way to go.

Also, drink a TON of water (not all at one time, though). The quicker you flush everything out, the quicker your infection will go away.

Avoid anything that dehydrates you such as caffeine, soda, tea, salt, etc.

If it's been a couple days going all-natural and you're still in a lot of pain, you may have to cave and go to the doc. It's great to avoid antibiotics if you can, because they kill other things in your body that are good along with the bad, but if your body just can't fight it off, then you will damage yourself by not treating the infection.

If you don't see a doctor it will end up in your kidneys and you will end up in the hospital. Going now, will save you $$$$. You can't cure it without antibiotics. All of the over the counter junk is for PREVENTING one. Not CURING one. Two different words with two different meanings.

Go to the store and buy a family size Cleartract juice, unsweetened. Drink the WHOLE BOTTLE. Its going to taste horrible and may give you an upset stomach for a few hours, but it works! If anything is going to work this will. The cranberry juice flushes through your bladder and kidneys and gets rid of infection quickly. Continue drinking it a glass a day forever to make sure it doesn't happen anymore. Its a great cure. If your symptoms don't go away in 2 days go to the doc, you don't want to mess around with a UTI, it can turn into more serious infection.

I've heard that strong Chamomile tea, at least 3 cups per day can help..

But I would really recommend seeing a doctor because that sort of infection can lead to more serious problems if not dealt with.

p.s. I love doctors too, but once you find a good, right doctor for you, its not so scary!
