UTIs occur when bacteria enter the urinary tract and cause infection. Burning during urination and the feeling that you are not quite done emptying your bladder are the symptoms that come to mind when you have a UTI. Your doctor will be able to test your urine to confirm whether you have a UTI, and will prescribe antibiotics (usually oral) to kill off the infection (which usually works pretty quickly if the UTI is caught early). UTIs can be prevented by keeping foreign substances away from your urinal tract (soaps, lotions, and other substances and chemicals). Wipe front to back, never back to front. Also, urinating after intercourse is a must to flush bacteria.

Take cranberry pills and eat lots of yogurt. The cranberry pills will clean you out and the yogurt introduces good bacteria into your system.

You might need antibiotics if its REALLY bad.

Also, this sounds bizarre, but when you feel the need to pee, pee in water. It won't hurt nearly as bad to pee.

    Take an oatmeal bath too.
