can eating icecubes cause urinary tract infection in dogs?

frequent piddling even after normal urination ( 9 week old puppy)

No, ice cubes are nothing more than fore than frozen water and water is good. If your dog is peeing more than usual , and has has a urinary tract infection,, you need to go to the vet, but it's not caused from eating the ice cubes.

Attention Ladies, this is Suzi, many people have been writing in asking what the stuff was that I used to clear up my UTI last week, so I wanted to put the link to this stuff here

NO it can't cause a UTI. Your pup needs to be seen by your vet to help determine what is going on with your pup. OK

Is he going when he gets really excited? If it's excitement (for example someone coming to visit), that will cause him to pee uncontrollably — even sitting down. Look up "submissive urination + dogs" on the internet you should find info there…

If this doesn't seem to fit call your vet.

I also know that my puppy would walk around the house peeing — he apparently missed the memo that he was supposed to stop what he was doing and pee….

NO WAY. When you think about it, ice is condensed water. All dogs can drink water. So ice cubes doesnt cause anything. Try the vet. It is probably some other problem. Good luck to you. =)

No, but icy water can cause bloat (twisting of the stomach; if you don't get the dog to the vet immediately the dog will die) I believe a UTI is easily treatable by a vet – and the sooner you go, the better.

Not unless there was something in the water when it was frozen in the icecube tray. But if that were so, any of the family that used those ice cubes would have it too. DUH
