I think my cat has a urinary tract infection. Any help out there?

My cat, Itty, keeps hopping from litter box to litter box, (we have 2 boxes), we think it may be a UTI problem. We can't get her to the vet yet because she was a stray and not too socialized yet. Can anyone suggest any home remedies?

Whether or not she's social that doesn't matter. A vet is trained to deal with animals that don't want to be touched.
UTI's can turn into kidney infections which are really serious.
I suggest taking your cat to a vet and getting her some antibiotics. That'll be a lot cheaper than dealing with a kidney infection. Also as a human I know how painful UTI's can be, so for a cat is must really hurt.
Be a good owner and get her to the vet please.

Attention Ladies, this is Suzi, many people have been writing in asking what the stuff was that I used to clear up my UTI last week, so I wanted to put the link to this stuff here
It is called CT - DM

I only know of d-mannose for people when they have UTI's. Other than call a vet or getting in, I am not sure what to do. Good luck though.

if she has a UTI she really has to see a vet even if she isn't socialized. Cats can get blockages which will kill a cat within 2 days because their bladder gets inflated and ruptures inside the abdominal cavity. PLEASE get her to the vet quickly. Call them and ask them about blockages to see if she has the signs.

If your kitty has a UTI, then socializing her is just going to have to wait because UTIs are painful and can be fatal. Don't try to treat this at home! Take her to the vet!

    Good luck.

I agree, at this point the socialization of your animal is not a priority problem…your cat needs medical attention! I'm not sure why you've come to the conclusion that your cat needs to have good manners before getting medical attention. That's not fair to her health.

I have a semi-feral cat. She's been to the vet 3 times in one year. She sucks it up, they have no freaking choice!

  7. Hi there…cats who have lower urinary tract disorders can develop a urethral blockage which can be life-threatening within 24-48 hours if not treated.
