If I were you I would go back to the doctors office and address this issue. If your antibiotics aren't working then you might need something stronger. Or possibly you have something else related to the UTI. I would go to the doctor again if it were me. References :
hi! well, as u've described ur symptoms, it seems quite obvious that u have a urinary tract infection. inorder to treat it, its bettr u see the doc again, make sure the doc orders a urine exam, with culture sensitivity for bacteria, this way, the doc wud be in a better position to decide which antibiotic the bacteria are sensitive to(the one's tht r causing infection in ur urinanr tract) cos organisms may vary bit frm person to person, and its a possibility tht the bacteria might be resistant ti the antibiotic u are getting. so it doesnt work that way either, so cultures are really important. well another thing is that if u have had a recurrent urinary tract infection, as u hv just told, then u might need to take a bit longer course of antibiotics(7-14 days) rather than the usual uncomplicated urinary tract infection which requires shorter regimens of 3-5 days.
apart from that also try n get an ultrasound of ur kidneys, jst to make sure u dont have any stone, also get ur blood sugar checked, cos these two conditions can cause repeated urinary tract infection. and in the end, drink loads of water so that u get a relatively diluter urine, tht helps flush bacteria outta ur system….. hope my answer helps u…all the best dear!!
