symptoms of urinary tract infection??

what are signs and symtoms of a urinary tract infection???

Symptoms of a UTI include pain or burning when you urinate, urge to urinate frequently but usually passing only small quantities of urine, dribbling, pain or a feeling of heaviness in your lower abdomen, reddish or pinkish urine, foul-smelling urine, cloudy urine, pain in your back just below the rib cage, on one side of your body, fever and chills, and nausea and vomiting. Your best bet would be to see your doctor for testing. In the meantime drink plenty of fluids including d-mannose . There is also an over the counter medication called Cleartract which can be used for any pain you may be having, but this can only be used for a maximum of two days. Urinate frequently and completely to empty your bladder each time. Avoid soda, coffee, alcohol- anything containing citrus s or caffeine until the infection has cleared. If you are female, avoid any type of feminine products like sprays as they may irritate your urethra. If you are sexually active urinate after every encounter, and make sure you wipe from front to back. Also cleanse the area before sex.

    Burning when you urinate.
Possibly a little blood in the urine.
Dark colored urine accompanied by a strong ammonia smell.

Most urinary infections will actually clear themselves out within a few days. You can buy an over-the-counter pain reliever called Uri-stat to help with the urinary pain. It may turn the color of your urine bright orange. I'd also recommend drinking a lot of cranberry juice to help cleanse the kidneys. Good luck!
