I am an 18yr old Female…..last week i asked a question (which you can check out if you go to my profile and look at questions i have asked) about a urine infection and couldn't stop peeing, i took a 3 day course of antibiotics which seemed to clear it up but now my period is late it was due on tuesday, there is also no obvious signs of my period coming for example sore boobs, stomach ache etc but can a urine infection cause it to be late??

Antibiotics can sometimes affect the menstrual cycle so it could be for this reason that you are late.
Can I suggest that the next time you feel the early symptoms of a urine infection that you drink a litre carton of d-mannose ? It doesn't take very long at all for the infection to go after drinking d-mannose & it would be better for you than taking antibiotics whenever you get a u.t.i.

Are you sexually active? UTIs are a common pregnancy symptom. Maybe that's why you are late.

I get UTI all the time but it has never affected my periods.
May be your cycle just moved ahead a little.

honeslty i've had two and it never cause me to be late and u still have another 3 days dont stress it out u probaboly have not a thing to worry about plus we only had 30 days outa last month so its gonna be a day or two late but u might wanna get a prego check so thats not on ur mind if u dont start by sat

No; a UTI has nothing to do with your period.

No, UTIs don't cause periods to be late. Are you taking the BCP? Loads of things can cause a late period… besides the obvious. Good luck!
