This not-so-sad death is the result of his family being a bunch of ignorant es and deciding to pray for him to heal, rather than use medicine, or (God forbid) treatment at a modern hospital.

Is there a home remedy for a Urinary Tract Infection?

Posted by: admin  :  Category: urinary tract infection home remedy

Is it wierd the I'm on my period and have a UTI? Could that be normal?

They have something OTC (over the counter) called Uristat I think – that helps.

Other then that, cranberry juice, cranberry chewables are good too, and lots of water – and when you feel like you have to "go" – GO!

Is it possible to cure a Urinary Tract Infection with cranberry juice and water?

Posted by: admin  :  Category: urinary tract infection cure

I know that I have a UTI by the symptoms (pain and burning when I urinate, frequent small amounts of urination, feeling of pressure on my bladder) I am very uncomfortable with the pain in my lower abdomin and today is my third day with the frequent painful urination. I've been drinking a lot of cranberry juice and water and it feels a little better, but still in pain. Will it get better if I continue with this method or do I need a prescription drug to cure it?

Yes, yes and yes, my doc used to prescribe it for me I now also take cranberrry pills if I feel one come on. If it's hit your back though it's in your kidneys so get another look and urine sample done. Cranberry is great to head them off. The pain will stay wfor a while but that just means it's working. Try the pills you can get them in a drug store and that way you can also concentrate on water and really flushing it out. Good luck

Can a urinary tract infection cause a seizure?

Posted by: admin  :  Category: urinary tract infection cause

My stepdaughter has been recently diagnosed w/ pinworms, yeast infection and today had a seizure caused by a uti. (the doctor's say) She has type 1 diabetes, as do I. I have never had these many problems growing up w/ diabetes. My question ( sorry ) is… have u ever heard of uti causing seizure?

I have never heard of a UTI causing a seizure but I wouldn't rule it out. I am sure that it is a combination of all of ailments conditions. I doubt that the pinworms played much part in it but the UTI and yeast infection compounded with type diabetes probably contributed to it. I hope she gets better soon.

Few months ago I experienced the basic symptoms, burning when urinating etc. but it passed. Now for a month or so I have had pain in my kidneys and strange pain in the right side of my abdomen. Do you think these are related? I can't get to the doctor until thursday to get his opinion :)

not sure but drink lots of water and cranberry juice and go to walmart and get azo pills http://www.azoproducts.com/ this is a awesome website for these problems

My cat keeps getting a urinary track infection.?

Posted by: admin  :  Category: urinary track infection

My cat is six years old and three years ago he got a urinary track infection and then he got one last month now it looks like he is getting another. I can not afford to take him back to the vet. Also he is a indoor cat. Is there anything I can give him so he will get well without taking him to the vet? Thank you

He must go to the vet to get rid of the infection.

However there are things you can do to try and reduce his risk in future. What food do you give him? He may need to stay on a veterinary prescribed food for quite a long time to help sort him out.

If you are feeding him dry food, do give him some wet food as well as his water consumption may be poor.

You can buy cat water fountains which improve the cats water consumption greatly and make them less susceptible to urinary infections.

You could also look for a food that has cranberry extract in it as this can help to reduce the risk of infections.

Hope your kitty gets over this problem and one other tip, look into insurance if you find the vets bills extreme.
