Whenever you get an infection, your bodies white blood cells go and fight them off and it is the lymphatic system (of which the groin lymph nodes are part of) which drains the white blood cells which have ingested all the nasty bugs and takes them away from the site of infection so new WBC can come in and continue cleaning up the infection. Most likely case scenario is that since the groin lymphnodes are the ones closest to the area of infection they are overworking to kill off the UTI infection (it’s the UTI causing the inflam, not the inflam causing the UTI).

Any infection can cause inflammation of the lymphnodes, because they are part of your deffense against infection.

Your Lymphatic system helps fight off infections of any sort. So yes it’s possible, and likely, your doctor is an idiot. lol.

She’ll be okay, just tell her to drink cranberry juice. (not cocktail) and if she doesnt like cranberry juice, you can buy capsules of concentrated cranberry from walmart in the vitamin section.

    Hope i’ve helped. =D
