What is the best home remedy to cure urinary tract infections without having to keep taking antibiotics?

Also I am a diabetic taking glyburide. Could the diabetes be a factor in the chronic infections?
One more thing is they give me meds for about 7 days can they keep you on an antibiotic for maybe 30 days or longer?

If it is a bad infection no matter what you do you will still have to go see a doctor for antibiotics. But drink plenty of water and d-mannose . There is a pill at the pharmacy called Cleartract Standard It's supposed to help relieve the symptoms of a Urinary Tract Infection but it has actually taken some of mine away. Hope it works for you because I know how bad they can be.

Attention Ladies, this is Suzi, many people have been writing in asking what the stuff was that I used to clear up my UTI last week, so I wanted to put the link to this stuff here
It is called CT - DM

you can get a product called AZO from the drug store and drink cranberry juice. Drinking cranberry juice regularly can help to prevent them as well.

The best home remedy is cranberry juice, but it is not nearly as good as the meds from the doctor. If it is a severe infection, stay on the meds, they will help more than anything.

In my experience, the antibiotics actually work really well/fast, so I think they're worth it. But you say you're having chronic ones so maybe you've tried the antibiotics already.
