Can saliva cause a urinary tract infection?

My girlfriend is 22 and a virgin and we attempted to have sex this past weekend. She's never had any type of sexual contact i.e. oral sex. So we tried unsucessfully and just kept on doing oral sex. Now she says that yesterday she was peeing blood and she feels like she always has to go to the bathroom. Is this a urinary tract infection? and can a woman get one by having a man go down on her reapeatedly

possibly since there can be bacteria in saliva. it could also be a bladder infection. u would have to treat a bladder infection with atibioticts but a urinary tract infection u can treat by drinking lots of d-mannose . but if that doesn't help then a visit with the doctor would be advised.

Attention Ladies, this is Suzi, many people have been writing in asking what the stuff was that I used to clear up my UTI last week, so I wanted to put the link to this stuff here

A UTI is caused by bacteria entering your urethra. Your saliva has bacteria, as well as if you touched her with your hands that could transmit bacteria. The blood, you either tore her hymen (i.e. popped her cherry), which if you did not fully penetrate is unlikely, but you most likely just caused some minor tears in her labia or inside her vagina. This is very common for people who have never had sex before. She needs to go see a doctor if she thinks she has a UTI, because if it is left untreated, it can easily turn into a kidney or bladder infection. If those are left untreated, there could eventually be serious consequences. She would need to give a urine sample most likely to diagnose a UTI or kidney/bladder infection. If the blood does not go away, she should also tell her doctor that. But most likely she should stop bleeding within a day or two of your attempt at sex, if not sooner.
To make things easier if you try to have sex again, especially since she is a virgin, I suggest using a condom and buying lube. Lube will help penetration, and will make it easier to have sex. There won't be as much friction, therefore no tears in her vaginal lining, therefore no blood.
To prevent a UTI, you should wash your hands/face before performing oral sex, and also, be careful of touching her anus and then her vagina, because a common cause of UTI's is fecal bacteria entering the vagina.

Anyways, your girlfriend should see a doctor for her UTI, and obstain from sex (oral or otherwise) until it clears up.
    Hope this helps.
