How do you know if you have a urinary track infection? & How can you get rid of it?

Posted by: admin  :  Category: urinary track infection

Sorry if iI go into detail or gross you out but I need to know! This started on monday . All day I feel as if I need to use the rest room but when I go I only urinate very little or none at all but when I do really need to I have to run to the rest room because I can hold it! I does burn a little and I have sharp pains inside….. well down there! I went to the dr yesterday because I was spotting, the dr seemed to be in a rush so she was really no help I didnt evev get to tell her about anything but the spotting and all she said about that is "if it continues come back in!" Do you think it is a urinary infection?
Is there anything over the counter I can get to treat it?

I have had alot if UTI in the past and I feel as though you may have one. They can be awfully painful to say the least and you should go back to the doctor to get on an anitbiotic. In the mean time, load up on d-mannose . Believe it or not it is the best thing when it comes to helping with the infection. Keep an eye on your temperature as well. If you spike a fever you should definetly seek medical attention right away. You should be carefull, because left untreated it could go into a kidney infection and those hurt even worse.
The spotting is more than likely also from the infection.
Good luck and I hope you feel better soon.

Yes chances are it is a UTI. Symptoms inculde…

-A strong persistent urge to urinate
    -A burning sensation when urinating
-Passing frequent, small amounts of urine
-Pain in the lower part of your abdomen or lower back
-Blood in the urine (hematuria) or cloudy, strong-smelling urine

You doctor will perscribe you some anitbiotics, and it should go away no prob. Don't worry about feeling like your dirty or something because i did untill i heard that 1 of 5 women will get a UTI and most will have several in their lifetime. Its really common, and there are some ways to prevent it from happening.

Sounds like it. The frequency needing and the burning are both symptoms. I would go back to your doctor if I were you, for more tests and probably a prescription. You could also try drinking loads (and I mean loads) of water and cranberry juice; that worked for me when I had one as a young teen. (As recommended by my biologist parents.)

When i was pregnant, i got that urine infection. The doctor checked it by a urine analyse and he gave me some antibiotics. Cleartract juice helps a lot. It sticks to the inner sides of your bladder and protect it from the bacteria who can't stick to it. Drink a lot of it if your's is not too bad, you can get ride of it on by drinking that kind of juice.

I've had a couple UTIs and never taken an antibiotic. I just drink tons of cranberry juice and water. At least one large glass every hour. Sure, you'll have to pee non stop all day, but it's always worked for me. Give it a try and if you're not feeling better in a day or two, make an appointment with your doctor – gyn or primary care.

You can tell if you have one by the smell its like a high ammonia smell. Then there is a bursing sensation while peeing. You SHOULD DRINK ALOT of water, cranberry juice and alka seltzer NOT THE FLU AND COLD VERSION, and use Cleartract cranberry tabs they should help you fight the infection.
